A modern tuscan typeface born in the caribbean

‘Puyita,' which is Spanish for ‘little spike,' is my interpretation of Tuscan letterforms with a modern twist. Featuring three distinct styles, this display font fuses grotesk and rustic expression, intended for branding and typographic compositions. In addition to the main Tuscan style, the secondary decorative style, ‘Cortada,' inverts the spikes and contours inward, creating a concave space that evokes a whole new personality. Finally, a Sans version omits all decoration in favor of a simple, yet relaxed and legible style. In the future, Puyita might gain more weight within the family.
